NEW YORK — Rayze Consulting is a marketing agency that helps brands cultivate effective messaging and strategies to naturally target Generation Z, people born between 1997 and 2012. High school students Rayyan Ahmed and Sahil Voona, from the New York City Metropolitan area, set out to help brands understand and connect to their own generation. The mission of Rayze is for brands to talk to members of Gen Z themselves, instead of about them.

Rayyan and Sahil aim to fill the void of brands improperly engaging and influencing Generation Z. Companies and brands today do not properly understand the way that Gen Z communicates and engages with one another. Brands that do not understand Gen Z communication, fail to successfully target their advertising and marketing to us. Successfully engaging with Gen Z is important, as we are here to stay, and continue to be an important player for businesses in the future. With a buying power of over 100 billion dollars, the importance of Gen Z will only continue to rise. Companies have begun to fall behind on adapting their messaging to Gen Z to market their brand, resulting in falling behind their competition.

“With a buying power of 143 billion dollars, Gen Z is very important, and as time goes on, their importance will only rise. We’ve already seen brands that have failed to adapt to millennials and eventually went out of business. If companies neglect Gen Z, the same effect could occur,” says Ahmed. “That’s where we come in,” says Voona. “We follow Gen Z trends, analyze current events, and can therefore help you market specifically to them. We have the experience to market towards Gen Z that many businesses lack or need help with.”

The team of 40 and counting teenagers at Rayze Consulting realize the importance of Gen Z and understand how they respond to brands.
